Greetings from Danna Faulds

Welcome to my website. Writing has been an important part of my life and spiritual journey for decades. In fact, I would say that I’ve written my way into the person I am today. I post a “poem of the week” most Wednesdays, and prose pieces as they come to me. I hope you enjoy them!

Poem of the Week

Listening

Listening

The pleasing sound of

distant wind chimes engages

my sense of hearing as I sit.

The call of a gull floats in

from Buzzard's Bay.

And then I take my listening

inward, to where intuition

and the soft whispers of

spirit live. The message

I receive today is brief,

but potent. "Rest in love,"

is what I hear. And sure

enough, there is a field,

an ocean, an infinity of

love ready to enfold me.

Outer listening brings

me present. Inner listening

connects me with something

so much bigger than myself.

The two together leave

me feeling whole.

New Prose

August 31, 2026

This is what I have to say to you. Choose not to be emotionally derailed by your lengthy to-do list or any external circumstances. Do what you can in the time you have left without rushing through tasks or losing your center. Keeping your sense of humor is a key, as is the willingness to laugh even when your anxiety is mounting. Affirm that just as you are in this moment, you are enough. Of course there will be challenges. Meet them head on, with confidence, knowing that somehow everything will work out. It's much more important to stay connected to your source than to finish everything on your list to your high standards.

Trust yourself. Trust the moment you find yourself in. Trust the bigger picture and the connection you maintain with the mystery. Remember that whatever you need is already within you or will come to you at just the right time. This is not wishful thinking -- it's the truth -- and truth will not abandon you. So take a deep breath when things get frantic and choose to relax instead of getting overwhelmed. You can do this!

About Danna Faulds

Danna Faulds writes each morning as part of her meditation and yoga practice. Over the years, her poetry and prose has found an audience in many kindred spirits walking their own paths of transformation, along with a host of spiritual teachers, yoga and mindfulness instructors, therapists, ministers, hospice counselors, and others in the helping professions. She finds the broader appeal of these messages, written strictly to herself, nothing short of miraculous.
